Taking the design and durability of the original ammo can speaker to the next level with new Thodio design anodized aluminum power/volume control and selector switch knobs.
These precision machined bright metallic red knobs with highly visible laser engraved details have been designed and prototyped over the last few months.
These knobs are milled out of architectural alloy 6063 Aluminum.
The new volume knob actually goes up to 11 not just 10 and will be on all .50CAL A-BOXes ordered from now on.
The selector switch knob will be on ammo can speakers with Guitar input and/or Wifi options added.
You can also order the knob(s) separately if you would like to upgrade the previous generation rubber/plastic volume and chrome selector switch knob on your A-BOX if your A-BOX has a selector switch.
Knobs ordered separately here on the page to upgrade older A-BOXes will start shipping mid May 2024).

Just pull off the old knob and push on the new one, it’s really easy.
Instructions for replacing the selector switch knob:
Use a small hex key to loosen the set screw and then remove the knob. The new knob is push on.

Is it really weatherproof — how tough?
It's built from a real .50 CAL ammo can: sealed steel that shrugs off rain, dust, drops and heat. Made to be thrown in a truck and abused. (Tough by design — not tested to a specific IP rating.)
How loud does it get / will it fill an outdoor space?
320 watts of full-range output — loud enough to fill a backyard, a beach or a campsite and own the space outdoors.
How long does the battery last and how do I charge it?
Choose your pack: 34, 68 or 102 hours of playtime per charge — up to about a week on the largest. Recharges over USB-C fast charging.
What's the difference between Standard Issue and Fully Loaded?
Standard Issue ($539) = Bluetooth + USB. Fully Loaded ($679) = Bluetooth + WiFi + guitar input + USB. Both come in Olive Drab or Black Ops, with your choice of battery.
Is it really built from a real ammo can and handmade?
Yes. Every A-BOX is hand-assembled in the Netherlands from a genuine .50 CAL ammo can. Thodio has handbuilt speakers since 2005.
